Last Updated: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SKYE ("SKYE", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information in connection with our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). It supplements the SKYE Terms of Service, End User License Agreement, Account and Data Deletion Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific features.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy.
1. WHO WE ARE
SKYE operates a Florida-based aviation networking and technology platform. SKYE provides tools for aviation networking, profiles, listings, scheduling, messaging, marketplace-related connections, digital logbook-related tools, and related aviation technology services.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@sky-e.app.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information that you provide to us, information generated through your use of the Platform, and information from third-party service providers where necessary to operate, secure, and improve SKYE.
Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, password or authentication tokens, profile photo, biography, user role, account settings, preferences, and similar details you choose to provide.
Aviation-related information: certificates, ratings, pilot or instructor experience summaries, aircraft details, training or logbook-related entries you upload, aviation documents, availability, scheduling information, listings, service descriptions, messages, reviews, ratings, and other aviation profile or marketplace information you choose to provide.
Public profile and listing information: certain information you choose to add to your profile, listings, availability calendar, ratings, reviews, public posts, marketplace listings, or other user-facing areas may be visible to other users of the Platform.
Usage and device data: IP address, device type, device identifiers, operating system, app version, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, log data, diagnostic data, performance data, crash data, and in-app activity such as feature usage and interaction events.
Location information: we may collect approximate location information derived from IP address. If the Platform offers nearby search, map, scheduling, airport-based search, or similar location-based features, we may collect precise location information only with your device permission. You may disable location access through your device settings.
Communications: support requests, feedback, surveys, correspondence with us, and communications you send through the Platform.
Payments and billing information: if you purchase paid features, subscriptions, advertising, promoted listings, or other paid services, payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play, or other processors. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited billing, subscription, transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, and payment status metadata from payment providers.
Cookies and similar technologies: we may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, analytics tools, crash reporting tools, and similar technologies as described in this Privacy Policy and any applicable Cookie Policy or consent settings.
3. AVIATION PROFILE DATA
Aviation credentials, training records, logbook-related entries, aircraft ownership or availability details, maintenance-related listing information, safety pilot information, and scheduling availability may be sensitive in the aviation context. We use this information only as reasonably necessary to provide Platform features, operate user-requested services, support trust and safety, prevent misuse, improve the Platform, and comply with applicable law.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, SKYE does not independently verify, certify, endorse, or guarantee any user's aviation qualifications, licenses, ratings, certificates, medical status, flight time, insurance, aircraft ownership, aircraft airworthiness, maintenance status, or legal authority to provide aviation-related services.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to provide, maintain, operate, and secure the Platform; create, authenticate, and manage accounts; display profiles, listings, availability, reviews, ratings, marketplace information, and aviation-related user content; facilitate networking, messaging, scheduling, digital logbook-related tools, payments, subscriptions, advertising, and related features; personalize your experience; process transactions; communicate with you, including service, security, support, administrative, and marketing communications where permitted; provide customer support; monitor and improve reliability, performance, and product features; develop new services; detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, unauthorized charter activity, unsafe or misleading conduct, policy violations, security incidents, and illegal activity; comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; enforce our Terms of Service, EULA, Account and Data Deletion Policy, and other agreements; and protect the rights, safety, trust, and security of SKYE, users, and the aviation community.
5. MESSAGING, SAFETY, AND PLATFORM INTEGRITY
SKYE may provide messaging, scheduling, notification, review, rating, and communication tools for user convenience. We may access, review, preserve, or disclose messages, listings, profiles, reviews, ratings, uploads, or other user content where reasonably necessary to provide support, investigate abuse, enforce our policies, detect fraud or illegal charter activity, respond to legal process, protect users, or maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Platform.
Users should not use SKYE messaging for emergency communication, operational control, dispatch, flight release, maintenance release, safety-critical decision-making, or time-sensitive aviation communications.
6. LEGAL BASES WHERE APPLICABLE
Where the General Data Protection Regulation, UK GDPR, Swiss data protection laws, Türkiye's Law on the Protection of Personal Data, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more legal bases, including performance of a contract; legitimate interests, such as securing the Platform, preventing fraud and misuse, improving services, and providing analytics in a proportionate manner; consent where required, such as certain cookies, precise location, or marketing communications; compliance with legal obligations; and protection of legal claims or vital interests where applicable.
7. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information with service providers who assist us with hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, email, messaging, customer support, payments, subscriptions, security, fraud prevention, marketing, data storage, and platform operations under appropriate contractual safeguards.
We may share information with other users when you choose to create a profile, post content, publish availability, send messages, create listings, submit reviews, participate in scheduling, or otherwise make information visible through the Platform.
We may share information with payment processors, app stores, and billing providers to process payments, subscriptions, refunds, chargebacks, tax reporting, fraud prevention, and transaction-related services.
We may share information with professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants, where reasonably necessary.
We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, aviation authorities, courts, government agencies, or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, security, and platform integrity.
We may transfer information to successors or affiliates in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction, with notice where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the use of certain analytics, advertising, or measurement technologies may be considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under some U.S. state privacy laws. Where required, we provide opt-out choices.
8. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, local storage, analytics tools, advertising tools, crash reporting tools, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, measure performance, diagnose technical issues, improve features, understand usage, prevent fraud, and support marketing or advertising where permitted.
Where required by law, we will request consent for certain cookies, precise location, analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies. You may control certain technologies through browser settings, device settings, in-app settings, consent tools, or third-party opt-out mechanisms where available.
9. PAYMENTS AND THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS
Payments, subscriptions, paid listings, advertising packages, promoted visibility, or premium features may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play, or other payment processors. These providers may collect and process payment, billing, tax, subscription, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under their own terms and privacy policies.
SKYE does not store full payment card numbers. Account deletion from SKYE does not automatically cancel active subscriptions, free trials, or purchases managed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or another payment provider. You are responsible for managing cancellations through the applicable provider where required.
10. DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, operate services, comply with law, resolve disputes, process transactions, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, maintain security, support accounting or tax records, and protect legal rights.
Retention periods vary by data category, account status, legal requirements, business needs, technical constraints, and the nature of the information. Some backups, logs, and archived records may persist for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course of business.
11. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
You may request deletion of your SKYE account and related personal data through in-app account settings, by emailing info@sky-e.app from the email address associated with your account, or through any web deletion request page made available by SKYE.
Account and data deletion requests are handled according to the SKYE Account and Data Deletion Policy. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request. Certain information may be retained where required or permitted for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, aviation compliance, dispute-resolution, chargeback, audit, backup, or platform integrity purposes.
Deleting your SKYE account does not automatically cancel subscriptions or purchases processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, Stripe, or another third-party payment provider.
12. SECURITY
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, logging, vendor controls, and security review procedures.
No method of transmission, processing, or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and using appropriate device-level security.
13. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required for transfers from the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Türkiye, or other jurisdictions with transfer restrictions, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, contractual protections, adequacy mechanisms, consent where applicable, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
14. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal information, or profiling where applicable; and appeal certain privacy decisions.
You may exercise rights by contacting info@sky-e.app. We may request information to verify your identity and authority before responding. You may also control certain communications through account settings, device settings, or unsubscribe instructions where available.
You may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or data protection authority where applicable.
15. U.S. STATE PRIVACY NOTICES
Residents of certain U.S. states, including California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. These may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, port, opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities, limit the use of certain sensitive personal information where applicable, and appeal privacy decisions.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18. To exercise available state privacy rights, contact info@sky-e.app. Where required, we will provide applicable opt-out mechanisms.
16. TÜRKIYE, EEA, UK, AND OTHER REGIONAL RIGHTS
If you are located in Türkiye, the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you may have additional rights under local law, including access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, anonymization, or complaint rights. You may submit requests to info@sky-e.app.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits non-waivable privacy, data protection, or consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
17. CHILDREN
The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, contact us at info@sky-e.app so we can take appropriate action.
18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, analytics providers, mapping services, calendar services, messaging tools, aviation service providers, or other third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or policies of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
19. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Platform and update the Last Updated date. Material changes may require additional notice or consent where required by law. Your continued use of the Platform after an updated policy becomes effective indicates that you have reviewed the updated policy.
